A user has the ability to easily navigate to their assigned organizational unit by using the star in the navigation pane. The star displays an organizational unit, course or section that a user has been given implicit or explicit permissions to. In the screenshot below you can see this user can jump right into the Accounting departments outcomes.
When clicking on the star icon, users will be shown any organizational unit, course or section for the given year they have access to. Only an institution's site administrator can adjust a user's permission setting to either add or remove a unit, course or section. The screenshot below demonstrates how we have set the above user's permissions to provide access through the star icon.
